Galaxy 10 Meter Radio
The 33HP2 is a Galaxy 10 meter radio that you can find at www.RadioActiveRadios.com along with several other models. The Galaxy 33HP2 looks like any other classic dual fet radio but it is a winner. Based on the DX33 Galaxy design, it has more advanced features and boosts3 position variable rf power and has a talkback on/of designed right, so you can shut of the talkback and keep on the echo. This is a feature that people have been asking for for twenty years and now this is the radio where you can finally have it! It has an echo reverb board included and also contains an LED dim circuit to allow you to decrease the brightness of the LED display. This is a key feature for any nighttime driver. Another great choice from the Galaxy 10 meter radio collection is the 94HP. This is the replacement for the discontinued 99V. it is crammed full of things like echo/rever, 10kz, var talkback, roger beep and more. It has all modes am/ssb/fm with a big meter and the build-in amp is like the Galaxy 98VHP which was a well-received model. If you are looking for a radio wit lots of features without the 200+ watts, this may be the choice for you. What it does have is an approximate 110-130 watts pep on am/ssb after the SuperWackPack, which will give the chassis talk power two to three times greater power.
Another Galaxy 10 meter radio that you will find at Radio Active is the 98VHP. Although Radio Active gives it a mixed rating, it could be the one you find the features in that matter most. It boosts a Blue five digit frequency counter instead of six but it does have an improvement over the 95T2, which is an external echo/reverb board that the other models don't have. It also has 10kz, variable talkback, AM/USB/LSB and more. Pros include that the amp will run fairly cool for the wattage range chassis once they do the SuperWackPack. The negatives are that the increased wattage requires you to install it very well.
The full featured Galax 10 meter radio is the 99V. it has all the channels anyone would ever need and, depending where you live, 361 channels will talk the world over! It has a five digit frequency counter, ech/reverb that will make you sound great and roger beep to fire up so you can signal when you are finished talking. It also has a robo voice and voice changer which can be lots of fun! It is the best on AM, but you can easily talk on SSB and even FM. It has dual finals and talk Phat and hear good. After you have added the SuperWackPack, you will get about 46-52 clean watts.
