Connex 4800 - Why wouldn't the 4800 Connex be
awesome?? Good question!
It should be but it's not. The concept is great, tons of channels,
echo/reverb and the only Connex in the line to have SSB (not really
needed but it has it). The 6 digit freq counter, we make make a few
people mad, but while this radio was great on the drawing board it's
not so hot. Ok-Ok your buddy has one and it sounds great.....well
they can sound great. BUT, it's not world class by any standard. The
Superwackpacked General Lee by Connex, or 3300 h/p, 4600 turbo those
are the Connex winners. The 4400, and 4800 are just blaaaaa.
