The Galaxy 55 is a middle of the road radio with some kick. The radio talks on am, and includes fm as well. (FM not really popular but hey you can do it!). Its got all the channels, and if you thinking about buying a Cobra or Uniden type radio but want more this is the way to go. It's got a roger beep, for the guys to love at the truck stop as your parked right next to them ""BEEP"" This radio also makes a good base station, hooked up to a power supply it will talk great.
