The RCI 2995DX all mode radio is a MONSTER! RCI called us, and gave us the news we've longed to hear. The early versions of the RCI 2995 (DX) had issues with the power supplies. When Rangers Engineering Dept called us and discussed how to go about upgrading it to the new style type supply we were excited. Ranger for several years now have had the newer Meanwell Power Supplies work well in these machines. We have upgraded many of these 2995DX to the next level up MeanWell supply for even more amperage but for most people, even hardcore users this mod isn't needed but it is available.

Our SuperWackPacked Phase II RCI 2995DX radios are known for AWESOME AM audio. Many shops try to get loud AM audio out of these radios and in return screw up SSB horribly. This class AB/1 chassis is simply the Cadillac of the air for all modes and messing up SSB for AM is a crime in at least 40 states (or should be, lol). We build alot of 2995DX for our customers and many folks get them "SuperModded". We have to say that this radio can get very expensive after serious modding, but with a satisfied customer rate on this one for years nearing 100% its worth it! Since we STRONGLY specialize in SMT circuit boards like these, you've found the right shop. Many shops cant work on SMT boards well, or when they do they totally mess up SSB. Not RadioActive Radios. Strongly consider getting this SuperWackPacked, SuperRx, Amp on/off (we often do it on the nb/anl switch for the cleanest look), open clarifier (for much better ssb tuning, and freq slide), or a 10 turn clarifier (found in very high end rigs). We can install LED bulbs often in the meters so they don't burn out. We can even do a LED mod to let you know when your above freq, below freq or even on freq! If there is one MUST HAVE, PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, if your buying a 2995DX without a static protection modification you are risking massive failure which is nuts for a low cost mod.
