Well RCI has stepped it up a notch to offer a high power, all mode
(am/fm/usb/lsb) radio. It boosts features like echo/reverb, 10kz, a built in SWR meter, it's 12 banks of channels, (6) digit blue freq counter, and led display, and more!!!! Radio has talkback on a on/off switch which is nice to be able to hear yourself while adjusting your echo/reverb. A lot of users want an all mode (SSB) rig, that's also affordable........well this one is!
While we aren't a big fan of the magnum stuff (lower quality, but high profit dealers love to push them) RCI made this one a winner. Why mention Magnum? Well a lot of people like the idea of a Magnum S9, it too is all mode, but this one's built much better. If you missed out on the Connex 4800, here's your chance at getting a great new radio, affordable in price, and full of snazzy features! 45-50 watts of pure audio.....make sure you're clear if you're a ssb user when ordering, it gets a little different redesign!
